We are the UK’s leading string ensemble, performing at your most special occasions. Kara Strings is made up of exceptional musicians trained at the UK’s top conservatoires, including the Royal Academy of Music and the Royal College of Music.

FAQ

How to book you? What is the booking process?

Once we have had a chat and confirmed on the ensemble, venue, date and timings, we will email you a contract with your booking details and an invoice for a 25% deposit. After the contract is signed electronically, you will receive an invoice for the deposit payment to secure the booking. You can pay this by bank transfer or credit/debit card (a 2% transaction fee applies).

Once the payment is received, your booking will officially be confirmed. The final balance is due 21 days before the booking date. You will receive your final invoice before the due date. If your event is in less than 21 days, the full payment is required.

How much does it cost to hire Kara Strings for my event?

Our prices range from £350 to £3500+, depending on whether you want to hire a solo violinist to a chamber orchestra. As soon as you submit your inquiry, you will receive our price list instantly. We will then reply your inquiry with your bespoke quote after checking the details you provide in the inquiry form.

Where are you based? Can I hire you for my destination event?

We are based in London. You can hire us for any location in the UK and internationally. We have played for many destination events in beautiful locations in Europe and Middle East.

If you want to book us there are a few things you need to consider. Firstly, the cost of travel – We can recommend the best airlines for travelling with instruments and know how all this works. It is of course best to book early to keep the cost down! If the accommodation required for the musician, it is another expense to consider.

Do you have Public Liability Insurance (PLI)?

Yes, we have full Public Liability Insurance covering up to £10 million, which meets the requirements of most venues.
