How do I book a solo violinist from Kara Strings?
Booking our London solo violinist is simple and designed to be stress-free. Once we’ve confirmed availability for your date, we’ll send you a short booking form to complete. After you confirm the details, we’ll issue an invoice for a 25% deposit. Your booking is officially secured once the deposit has been received. The remaining balance is due 21 days before the event.
For bookings made within three weeks of the event, full payment is required at the time of booking. We accept bank transfer and credit card payments (a 2% transaction fee applies to card payments).

How long does the violinist play for?
This is completely flexible and tailored to your event. Most clients choose live music for guest arrival, ceremonies or welcome receptions, as well as one to two 45-minute sets during drinks receptions, dinners or corporate events.
We structure every performance around your schedule and key moments to ensure the music fits seamlessly throughout your event.
Is booking time based on playing time or total time at the venue?
Booking time is based on the total time at the venue, not just the time spent performing.
Your booking runs continuously from the start of the first performance to the end of the final performance, and includes any breaks and any movement between performance areas.
For example, if your violinist performs from 1:00–2:00pm for your ceremony and then again from 4:00–5:00pm for your drinks reception, the total booking time would be 1:00–5:00pm (4 hours).
Setup and pack-down are not included in your booking time. We always arrive in advance of your start time so everything is ready before the performance begins.
Can the violinist learn a song that isn’t in your repertoire?
Yes. Every booking includes one complimentary custom arrangement, as long as sheet music or a suitable reference is available. Additional requests can be arranged on enquiry.
